Rules For The Game

• No account sharing, swapping, or transferring. - You are not allowed to have anybody else play on your account, nor give away your account to another person. This also includes item sharing; you may NOT share your password for this purpose, nor any other purpose. The single exception to this rule is when you think something is up with your character and you would like an arch to check it out for you. They will provide proper instruction if the issue arises.
• No bug exploitation - any suspected bugs found should be reported immediately, either to a moderator or using the contact form.
• No use of inappropriate names - This includes drugs, swearwords and insults. Just use common sense here.
• Protect your account - Use a complex password of letters, numbers, and mixed case instead of just simple words. Also, use a password that you don't use on other websites. You will be held accountable for any actions done on your account, therefore it's in your best interest to create a strong password, keep it to yourself, and log out whenever you step away from the computer.
• Fair Play. - The game is designed to be played using any browser (on any platform) with internet access, a keyboard for chatting and the built-in browser controls, and a mouse for game control. (Any battle actions have to be performed using the mouse). These basic devices are available on all PCs, there is no additional hard- or software needed to play. This makes the game evenly challenging for everyone. In the following I will point out what is not allowed:
• No Speeders. Speeders are programs that either make your operating system run faster or just the browser. However, the game has a built-in minimum time-delay between actions and records too fast actions. Massive occurance will lead to an instant ban.
• Hotkeys. - Battle actions can be done via keyboard and mouse or via pre-set Hotkeys which are defined in the FAQ. DO NOT try to be able to hit the Hotkeys in such a way that all you do is hold them all down. We will catch all actions with this and will ban you if you abuse the use of the Hotkeys.
• No Macroing. - DO NOT use any programs that record/play game actions (schedulers, internet-macros, form-fillers, mouse-macros).
• No Scripting. - DO NOT alter any of the game files.
• No kind of Automatization. - As time goes by, there will be new tools that make life on the net easier - but which may not be used for this game. Therefore, any program, method or behaviour, which has comparable effects as the ones described above will be considered as cheating as well.. We do not care if your macro is good or bad. Any kind of 'unnatural' play is prohibited.
• Guideline for better Performance: - It is allowed to optimize your net performance. Clear your browser cache regularly and set your browser options to check for new pages automatically. It is also advisable to limit the number of programs run simultaniously (downloads, chat, media). Restart the browser after some hours of playing. If you are using an older computer, dont run the newest software (use IE 6.0 or FireFox 1.8)
• One player- multiple chars logged in at same time: - THe number is limited to 2. You have to watch both chat screens all the time. If server gets laggy or when the total number of chars rreaches 15, you have to log out the second character.

Rules For Chat

• The language of chat is English - ALL chat should be done in English, and only English. You may talk to people in other languages in pm if you wish, but everything said in chat must be in English. This even includes song titles and lyrics, and l33t is not considered as English.
• Use sales chat for any buy/sell actions - Any requests for items, or any selling of items, can only be done in sales chat.
• Read the HELP and FAQ pages before asking a question
• Language in chat should be kept clean and respectful. - Swearing is allowed in moderation, so long as it is not done to offend others. The F-word is not allowed in ANY form (not even in "wtf"). Nothing should be said that is degrading or disrepectful to others, like racial slurs, rude gestures, or insults.
• Do not harass/insult/offend other players - This includes insulting, swearing at or persistently bothering people in chat or PM. Do not try to provoke people or encourage bad behavior. Also, do not post rude graphics, or links to offensive/pornographic websites.
• No drug talk - Do not talk about illegal drugs at all, nor the abuse of legal drugs. The light mention of alcohol, cigarrettes, or prescriptions is okay, but do not get into debates regarding them.
• No fighting with other players - Do not begin heated debates, or otherwise pick fights with other players in chat or pm.
• No spamming:
      - Do not post the same message repeatedly
      - Do not post a request for the same item more than once an hour
      - Do not post the same item for sale more than once an hour
      - Do not 'stretch' the screen.
• No begging - this means don't go asking for gold and items to be given to you, or asking for loans even.
• No excessive caps usage Capital letters denote shouting which is rude and annoying, only the occassional 1 or 2 short words allowed. The 1 or 2 words CANNOT be swear words.
• No advertising - Don't advertise personal products. A mention is okay, but do not mention repeatedly.
• Do not bash this or any other game - if you don't like them, don't play them.
• Do not post offending PMs in chat - if you want to complain about a PM do so in PM to a Mod or by email (see staff page).
• If something is not allowed in chat then posting a link to something which contains it is not allowed either.
• The link to the SalesChat channel is there for a reason.

Regarding Mods

• You must have at least part of chat visible at all times, and respond to any PM from a moderator (see Staff page).
• There may be times when you will be asked by a Mod not to do or say something which has not been covered here, please follow their directions.
• Do not whine about mod activity in open chat. If you have a problem with a Mod report it via the contact form or email (see Staff page).
• Treat Mods with respect and they will treat you with respect. Remember, they are here for your benefit.

Failure to abide by these rules may result in any of the following:

• WARNING: A mod will warn you regarding your actions.
• MUTE: Inability to chat for a time.
• JAIL: Inability to chat or click for a time and repositioning to Safe Haven Jail.
• BAN: Inability to continue playing that character.
• IP BAN: Inability to play from that IP Address.

Actions taken will vary by situation and by history. That is, the same action may not be handled the same way for different people.

It is your responsibility to re-read these rules on a regular basis in case they change.
